Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As the owner of Marilee’s Bridal & Social Occasions, I have had the most exciting past few months travelling across the United States to shop for new lines of exquisite inventory for my store.
In July, I was invited to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, to hand pick beautiful bridal gowns that are extremely exclusive and will not be sold at any other bridal stores across Canada. In September, I travelled to Dallas to make my fall selection from a fabulous European line of bridal gowns which we already carry and once again, are not sold to any other stores in Ontario.
While in Dallas, I was invited to travel to Chicago in October to see a brand new exclusive bridesmaid line that was being shown there to “Better Retailers” for the first time. My husband, Don, and I met with the owners and the designer of the company who invited us to be their first retailer in Canada. In addition to maid’s dresses, the same company designs the loveliest line of flower girl dresses, 1st communion dresses, and girl’s special occasion dresses that I’ve ever seen. We are proud to say that we were asked to carry this prestigious line too.
Besides the tremendous honour of being recognized as a “Better Retailer in Canada” by some of the most exclusive companies in the bridal business, we are delighted that the outcome of this for you, our customer, is that we can offer you more and more exclusive lines. Imagine being able to shop for the bridal gown of your dreams and fashion forward maids dresses for your wedding party knowing that they won’t be sold at any other bridal shop in Ontario.
This is amazing news for new brides as we know that today’s bride wants to make her own personal statement when it comes to planning her wedding. A cookie-cutter dress for herself or her maid on the most important day of her life just doesn’t fit her plan.
